A Rough Day

Today has been a tough one, preceded by a rough night, with Robert in severe discomfort due to bowel issues, along with his other pain. He also is back on an IV for antibiotics to treat another bladder infection. Because he was feeling so lousy, he was up for just an hour in the chair, but still toughed it out through his exercises down at the gym. His determination and courage is amazing. At the same time, it's a challenge not to become disheartened and to give in to discouragement.
We were both happy to hear that Tom is flying in late Wednesday night and will stay until Saturday. We're looking forward to seeing him alot.
Keep those prayers going, everyone. When Robert is experiencing alot of pain, the nurses give him something extra which they call "breakthrough" .... It feels like we're hitting a bit of a wall here, and need a breakthrough of a more powerful sort which only comes through concerted prayer.
Thanking you all once again for your care and your prayers,
Chris

Sorry that today was a rough day Robert...will be praying even harder, to see that breakthrough. Keep up those exercises. :)
It was so good to be able to stop in the other day! Im hoping to stop in a couple more times, if that's alright. I will be coming into Vancouver on Thursday morning...does it work to stop in, during the afternoon? :)
