Once again Robert was put through his paces with three hours of physio, including one hour in the pool. Today he got the knee brace which is to keep his left knee from buckling until his quad muscle is up to the task. With that on, he was able to attempt walking with crutches for the first time. That seemed to go quite well. The downside to this is the extreme pain that follows. As soon as this session was over it was back to his room as fast as his new lighter and sportier wheelchair would carry him, and into bed where he lay in agony until the pain gradually settled down to a bearable state. Sitting also continues to be unbearable, which is most disheartening. The doctor is going to be increasing the medication which deals with nerve pain, so hopefully that will make a difference. So far, no medication seems to be the answer. Keep praying that God will touch Robert in a miraculous way. Continue to pray for wisdom for the doctors and perhaps some fresh insight into Robert's situation. I have to say that the OT, PT, and his doctor are very caring and are doing everything they know to help and we are very grateful for all of their efforts.
That's about it for today. Continue to pray for Robert as he continues to courageously battle chronic pain and the discouragement that can go along with that.

I'll be praying that this terrible pain would leave your body and that despair would not come anywhere near you Robert. You're the first thing that pops into my head when I wake up and I immediately start praying for you(even if it's in the middle of the night). I'm sure many prayers are going out for you 'round the clock.
with love,Nil
Jesus, we come to you in peace and hope and love, and we thank you that you ARE peace, love and hope. We praise you that you love Robert with an everlasting love, and that Robert's hope is in you. Be blessed, Lord, in the beauty of your creation of Robert, be blessed that you have called him by name and that he is yours, be blessed that you knit him together in his mother's womb, be blessed. Jesus, you are not the author of pain, and so we say that the blood that you shed is over Robert now, and that this horrible, filthy pain has no right to be attacking Robert. We agree that the doctors are doing their best, the therapists are doing their best, and that you are who you say you are. Jesus, touch Robert with the immensity of your healing power. We believe that this healing is done. And we also stand against discouragement and hopelessness, in the powerful and mighty name of you, Jesus. We agree that Robert is lifted up in your hands and because of your love and sacrifice, he is healed and free of pain. We pray in faith, in Jesus name.
Amen. (forgot that part)
Robert, I'm praying that you become more and more pain free when you sit down. Remember that "Jesus will never give you more than you can handle", or deal with. Lots of continued prayers from me and the rest of the family.

Hey Roberto,
I missed my Sunday visit today! Too bad for me. Joe and I were on the Island visiting his family ... and watching BOTH BC and Edmonton lose, shattering our dreams of a great Grey Cup dule. Glad to hear the leg brace is on ... this rediculous pain will eventually get sorted out. Still praying for you all the time.
