Good Morning friends and family!
Robert is doing quite well this morning, he seems to be doing fine with his new hip brace thingy (no technical language for me...) and it means they can turn him over a bit for changing and stuff like that which is better than before when they were too scared to move him at all.
We found out his visiting hours today so if you happen to be in the area and were thinking of coming by, you can only come between 11am-2pm and 4pm-8pm. If possible, it would be great if you let us know prior to your visit as only 2 people at a time can be in the room.
We having been passing on all your messages and they are so encouraging for us.
Prayer details...
- good rest for Robert in a ward that can be quite busy and loud
- full recovery for his kidneys, bladder and bowels after the surgery
- tons and tons of wisdom for his health care workers (we are quickly learning that many decisions made are after much debate with many different opinions from lots of smart people with lots of different ideas and we really just want the very best for Robert in his specific condition. Wisdom wisdom and more wisdom!)
- the possible nerve damage in his right leg... pray it away! We are asking God for full healing there.
- that his surgery would occur at the right time for his body and that there would be no delays on Friday.
Robert is an excellent patient and we have heard many times from the staff what a pleasure he is to care for and how polite and grateful he is. This morning Robert chastized us for being a bit unkind when we were suprised to find out he had visiting hours. He told us we "didn't get any special treatment because he was hurt". WHAT A GUY! We are so pleased to have him telling us off and putting us in our places.
Thank-you again for all your support, we are overwhlemed with your kindness and can feel God's strength sustaining us. We all had a good rest last night - praise the Lord. Keep sending those messages!

Love, Wayne, Mo & Fam
Hey Robert,
It's so encouraging to see the awesome progress that you're making! With this progress you should be able to make home for the bike race tomorrow and back for your surgery!! :) Have you been getting your daily Olympic updates from anyone while you're down in Edmonton? Do you have a TV to watch them?!
On a more serious note... We are all praying for you up here in FSJ/Taylor. We are rooting for you and we'll be by your side in every way that we can and when you make it to that finish line we're going to party like never before!! May the Lord bless you and place His mighty healing hands upon you and your body!! I have faith that you will get through this, and you'll be back to your regular self in no time!! God is going to use you and your family in this time! Stay strong, but remember that it's ok to cry, yell, scream, and get as mad at God as you need too!! He's a tough guy too, and he can take it!! :)
We are also praying for you, Tom, Chris, Jen, and Wade! May you all be covered with a peace and a faith that is undeniably God! May He remind you daily that He's with you and He is working with the Doctors, Nurses, and everyone who's looking after your precious son. Rest in your Father's arms today! Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God..."
Love you SO guys much!!
Can't wait to see you Robert !! :)

Hello Lavignes, I pray this finds you resting in the Peace of the ever Wise Physician. It is good to know that our loving Heavenly Father already knows the outcome of this whole situation. He is using this to test us to ensure we have the faith to come along side and uplift you all and put our trust in Him. (AMEN) Tom and Chris I pray that you will receive the rest you need at this time, I know from going through Keylea's back surgery that it is draining, but God is gracious. Robert, I continue to pray for healing but also wisdom as our Lord has allowed this to happen for a specific reason and my prayers are that you will in your limited capacity will listen to Him and He will bless your socks off.(Oh you are probably not wearing any) Well our Lord will Bless you still.I am wondering if I should be racing for you on Thursday evenings? Jen and Wade may God keep blessing your family as you are there to support your mom and dad and Robert, hang in there.Bill & Judy

Tom & Chris, You have raised the most awesome young man. Everyone I know loves Robert and that includes us. We miss him terribly. So give each other a big pat on the back and then turn that into a giant hug for your whole family from the Gilmore family. We know that God is working even in all this. We are constantly praying for your quick recovery. We know that all things work together for good to those who love God and we know that's you. This update thing is great. Thanks so much. Our hearts ache knowing how hard this must be for all of you. Our prayer is that one day Robert will look back on this and know that this was God's plan for and he'll know the reason why! All our love and prayers Ron, Debbie and guys.
