Starting a Blog...

Hello friends and family!

Rather than sending copious mass emails every day, we have started a family blog to keep you updated on Robert's recovery.

Please feel free to leave comments and notes of encouragement - we will pass them on to Robert.

Thank-you for your concern and prayers...

Hi Robert,
Praise God - he has plans for you. We are praying for you, a complete recovery, wisdom and expertise for doctors and rest and peace. I have had a lot of the guys at work checking up on you - Cole, Jim, Kevin were all asking yesterday plus, of course the regular "chatter" and lots of concern. Everyone has said to pass on their best wishes. Chris, Tom and Jen - Our prayers and love to you too. Tom, at some point James McLeod at Canfor here (250-789-9300)would like to talk to you (no rush or pressure at all) - business-y type stuff - he says for your family to keep all your receipts. Sorry for the business stuff. Love to you all. Rob - Matt sends his prayers too from Southern States somewhere - I loose track of where he is....Love, Ken, Sandra and Courtney

Hi Robert, I am praying night and day for you. As a young man, you are an inspiration. I got a verse for you,"let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." You are always shining, heck sometimes you and the young men of Taylor almost blinded me! Chris and I love you lots! We can't wait to see you! Boy, does God have plans for you! I'm praying for all of you. God bless, all our love, Chris and Linda

Dearest Robert
Words cannot express our concern for you these days. Our hearts and prayers are with you daily. Yesterday (Friday) was a huge day for you, we pray that complete healing can now start. Always remember that God is the great physican and that his love for you is unending. The days ahead will require that you have patience for these things take time. Bask in the love of your family and friends and get well. Rest & heal.

Tom, Chris and Jennifer . . . our love and prayers are with you. We will be away for a couple of weeks but will continue to think of you and pray. Will get in touch with you when we return.

Love from Glenys & Bill

Dear Robert

I was so terribly shocked to hear of your accident when I returned to work. The fact that you have youth and fitness on your side will go a long way in helping your recovery. Keep a positive attitude and hopefully you'll be up and RUNNING or BIKING before you know it. Thanks to the family for keeping everyone informed.
Take care Robert

Hi Rob,
'Three Steps' sounds very encouraging! A long way to go but progress is happening. We are happy to hear that,
Best Regards,

Dear Robert,

Glad to hear that you've made some progress.Try to look at your recovery as a race. It may well be the longest race of your life, but if you take it one stride at a time it should be attainable. I know how much determination and competitiveness you had in school, always practising and running longer distances than other kids you age. As your pain lessens and your strength increases things will get easier.
Robert, keep your heart, eyes and most of all your mind on the finish line. The reward will be huge!
Chin up. I just know you can do it.
See you at the finish line
Alison
