August 13th - The Evening Report

Not too much news to report - today was a good day of rest and continued stability for Robert. His heart rate continues to come down and his blood work improves steadily as they constantly are pumping him full of fluids to flush away all the crazy stuff being released by damaged muscles. He is on track for surgery on Friday and we are hoping that when it is done he will soon after be able to have the bed up and be able to sit instead of lie down all the time and that he will be able to start "eating" (aka weird jello and hospital broth - which is a big step up from the whole-lot-of-nothing that he is eating now)

We can't get over Robert's positive attitude and genuine kindness to all those who are helping him - he is a man of incredible character and is being so much stronger than the rest of us!

Prayers for the night for Robert...
- Rest. Sleep. Shut-eye. The Land of Nod. Sweet Dreams. Sleeping tight.
- Continued improvement in heart rate/blood pressure/blood work, no extra blood loss and protection from any extra sickness that might interfere with recovery.
- That he know a deep peace of mind and heart as the surgery approaches.

Many thanks once again for your prayers - Robert is truly surrounded and lifted up.

Over and Out!

Hello Lavignes,
Thank you so much for taking the time to remember us. Your updates are keeping us going. Please know that you are all in our prayers on an hourly basis. We keep thinking about all of the people in the hospital whose lives will be changed because of Robert's outward faith. Please let him know that we say hi and that we miss him. We are planning a trip down as soon as he is feeling up to it.
Love,
Chris and Corinne

Good night Lavignes,
Thanks again for the blog I am relaying it to Judy who is out at the cottage on Moberly Lake. We will be praying through the night and the day as God leads us. We are preparing for our Garage Dance but now we may have to put it on hold until Robert and the rest of you can be there. We'll see if not then that will give us a reason to have another one later on.
have a sound and relaxing sleep and we will talk more tomorrow. Bill & Judy

Good morning Lavigne's (I am writing this at night but hopefully your sleeping). We will continue to keep you in our prayers especially around Friday. Unfortunately I will be out of technology range for the next week being out on the ocean trying to catch some whoppers. Linda is plugged in though so with these wonderful updates will be able to update me when I am in cellphone range. I agree about Robert changing lives with his Godly attitude and I am so proud of him. Love Bob and Linda

Nice to see so many great comments from so many people. A true testament to the positive impact you have obviously had on folks already. Get well soon Robert. Hi Tom and Chris, Looks like you're hanging in there. Keep it up. Have been driving by your Church everyday this week in my truck so couldn't not think about you guys even if I wanted to. Lol. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
Chris White.
P.S. Linda's sleeping but I know her thoughts and prayers have been with you also.
As for Mutley... well nobody's perfect but i'm sure he'd give a wag and a snort for you to.

Hey Lavigne's,
We are so thankful that Cheryl forwarded this blog to us so we could be in the loop. It's hard to express what we felt when we heard the news about Robert - shock doesn't cut it. BUT!!! We know who we can go to instantly who loves you guys more than you will ever know and He really is in charge. PTL!! We are praying and trusting God to give you His peace and His joy as you wait and watch together. I'm thinking, how blessed is Robert to be in your family and the BIGGER FAMILY, who love him, care about him and will keep praying for him. We love you guys, Ed & Dolores
