Home

Well I'm home. Sorry for not posting for a bit. The trip up here went pretty smooth. We went by air ambulance since I can't sit long enough for a commercial flight. Arriving at home was a bit overwhelming. I suddenly had to walk everywhere and since the Occupation therapist was there she wanted me to try out all the things around the house. So after getting my new wheelchair all set up, trying out a shower seat, grab bars, hand rails, toilet seats, my bed, the stairs, and almost every chair and couch in the house I finally got to just lie down in my bed in my room. Unfortunetly my room was a pretty big mess since all my stuff that had got brought up from taylor was stacked all over. We decided to blow off cleaning that up for a day. Anyways I'm starting to get a bit more settled in now. Getting around the house is a bit of a pain since just to go to the kitchen I have to put on my two braces and shoes. My pain level has been at a very bareable level so far which has been very nice although my activity level has been fairly low. Next week I'll be starting physio up again. I'll be going monday wednesday and friday for an hour and a half untill january 9th when WCB will re-evaluate the situation. So anyways it's good to be home, and I'd like to thank you all for your prayers which have got me this far along in my recovery.

Robert

Hi Robert. Glad you are in more "friendly" surroundings. Now you'll have to tough out that cold PG winter! PCC had the annual community party today although Judy and I were doing other things so we don't know how that went. We continue to lift you and your situation up before the throne of grace and pray for God's peace to reign in your heart and his healing power to reign in your body. Kind of an awsome Christmas gift to be allowed to be at home. Larry K

Great to hear your at home. Everyone at the mill will be glad to hear it. The crew misses that dry wit of yours, but most of all we just miss you. Hope your physio goes well & that you and your family have a great christmas. I know your families christmas just got a whole bunch better. Keep posting for us so we can keep up on your recovery.

Hey Tom, Chris & Robert . . . so glad to here that the move went well. It will take a few days to get into a new routine but is surprising how quickly it happens. For you Robert going from a hospital type atmosphere to your home may be a bit overwhelming, but what a wonderful Christmas gift to be back with your stuff in your home with your family. I am so happy for all of you. We'll be in touch off and on over the season. Our love and prayers continue. Luv gg

Robert and family,

Congratulations on the victory of getting home! And in your own bed. It is a gift that you can be there for Christmas and have what you need around you to begin the next leg of your journey to recovery. What strength and faith and tenacity you have been given. Praying that God will give a patient heart to keep on going. Love you guys and are wishing you the best holiday ever. Love, Kevin and Wanda
