Monday

It's Monday, and good to be back into the routine of physio. Weekends tend to pass quite slowly here, especially when Robert can't stay in his chair for any length of time. They continue to experiment with different kinds of seats to try to give him some level of comfort, but so far, nothing really works. Keep praying for healing in his pelvic region. Other than that, it's been a good day today, with Robert being given the okay to walk short distances with the walker without a spotter (that would be me holding on to the waistband of his pants). Also, he's no longer on the drug that didn't help but had some not so nice side effects, so he's happy to say goodbye to those. Pain continues to be the big issue, with the its high level and ever presence definitely affecting the quality of life here. Yet there is so much to be thankful for.
Thanks for your continuing in prayer.

Chris

Hi Robert & Chris . . . I think of you on weekends when the weekly routine takes a break. When you are limited to what you can do it is difficult to pass the time, especially now that the daylight hours are so short and winter is threatening (at least here anyway)! But maybe Robert after 5 days of strenuous work a couple days off is a good thing (ya I know easy for me to say):) We are encouraged by the progress you have made and continue to pray every day for less pain and quick healing. Glad to hear that your Dad is able to visit for a few days.
Tom & Chris . . . think of you often and am keeping you both in my prayers as well. Hopefully you can all be together soon in the comfort of your home as Robert continues to heal.

So long for now.

Robert,
I just found your blog today, though I've been keeping vague tabs on things through my dad. After reading everything today, I'll admit I've been in tears several times. My heart aches for the physical pain you go through, Robert (as well as the emotional pain I'm sure you're feeling, Tom, Chris, and Jen). I can only vaguely imagine the many questions and uncertainties you're facing, and the fear and pain that comes along with those. Despite that, I'm very excited to see the huge improvements that have been made, and very impressed with your courage and strength. My husband and I have been praying for you and will continue to do so, for what it means. Larita (Carroll) Appiah

Our prayers continue to be with you daily. We are so excited for the progress you have made but pray persistantly for the pain to go away. By the way Ella just made a big stinky diaper just for you (just her little way of saying hi). Love you all lots and thanks again for keeping us updated.
